Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team in Holland, MI.

As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will:

Assure highest quality, least costly manufacturing processes.
Under direction of more senior engineer, design, develop, install, and document new and/or existing processes, equipment, and tooling.
Ensure performance (business, profit, and manufacturing) to specification.
Conduct cost reduction activities to determine material, labor, and overhead costs.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor or master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial Technology OR 2 years of engineering experience for every 1 year of education in lieu of bachelor's degree.
  • 18 months additional engineering experience (mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering preferred).
  • Ability to climb/bend/balance in manufacturing environment and lift/move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

  • Experience with CAD (AutoCAD, Creo or ProE preferred).
  • Experience running and programming CNC machinery.
  • Sheet metal fabrication background.
  • Tool and die experience.
  • Experience with continuous improvement projects and lean concepts.
  • Experience with quality systems.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Roll form experience.

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of CAD (design) systems, analysis procedures; word processing and spread sheet applications; PC and keyboard/mouse skills required.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to ensure products and materials produced meet functional requirements over life of product.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in development-oriented team environment.
  • Ability to occasionally travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally.
