Tennant Company is looking to fill a 1st shift Assembler position at the Holland, MI facility. This shift works Monday - Friday 6:30 am-2:30 pm.
GENERAL
Responsibilities:
Position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints, work instructions or playbooks
Pull parts from inventory as required to assemble parts kits, using blueprints, diagrams, schematics, or customer order forms, preparing them for shipment
Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners as required
Assure quality product by assuring and maintaining conditions for good fit and function of all parts/products
Operates drills, screw drivers, and other hand tools to assist in assembly operation
Enter data into computer detailing parts pulled and/or products assembled
Disassembles small cleaning units for trouble-shooting or for recovery/salvage of parts as required
Tests small assembled unit to assure proper operation
Performs housekeeping and 5S to keep the department clean, safe, and well organized.
Actively involved in working in a team environment.
Build processes are characterized by moderate build times (generally, up to 3 hours).
Moderate amount of troubleshooting and adjustment to build a quality product. Typically these are known issues that take 15 to 60 minutes to diagnose.
Meets time standards on all areas of training.
Willingness to remain flexible in work schedules including OT as necessary to meet deadlines.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Or 3 to 9 months of related experience and/or training
SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in on-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Must be self-directed, able to work independently and in a group environment.
REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must regularly lift and/or moved up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 40 pounds
Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Regularly required to stand, use hands to grip, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms
Frequently required to walk, talk and hear
ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSTURES:
Routinely and regularly works near moving mechanical parts
Occasionally exposed to non-toxic fumes
Moderate noise level
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety shoes at all times.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
