Materials Manager

L&W Engineering is a Tier One Automotive Supplier of Metal Stamping and Weld Assembly located in Holland, Michigan. We offer competitive wages, benefits, and a stable work environment with a well-established company.
We are currently seeking an experienced Materials Manager. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
Directs and coordinates activities of department supervisors and personnel engaged in the shipping, receiving, and warehousing of parts and materials utilized and consumed.
Resolves all issues, including logistics and schedules with suppliers in order to reduce or eliminate production material constraints on manufacturing process.
Communicates major parts, or materials shortage issues to Management Team on a continuous and timely basis.
Resolves supply chain issues through consultation with appropriate contact persons, including L&W corporate purchasing and materials.
Coordinates production and receipt of materials schedules through direct reports and other contact persons.
Coordinates with other departments on new parts, sample parts, and pilot parts to ensure timely delivery performance to customers.
Regularly updates capacity plan for plant facility.
Oversees and reviews sales forecast.
Works with Purchasing and Quality as needed on outside vendor development/training/performance measurement.
Ensures all Associates in Materials Department are working within the compliance guidelines set forth by L&W.
Recommends measures to improve shipping, receiving, warehousing methods and procedures, and quality of vendor service, and suggests changes in procedures and use of equipment to improve quality.
Confers with management, engineering, quality control and maintenance Associates to resolve quality assurance problems.
Successful candidates must possess the following:
Minimum 4 years experience managing a Materials/Shipping Department in an industrial setting, preferably automotive and stamping.
Experience working with MRP, experience with QAD preferred.
Excellent Computer skills
Must be self-motivated, have high initiative, prefer working with minimal supervision, and possess the ability to lead & delegate a variety of tasks to completion.
Must have inventory control reduction experience as well as be familiar with J.I.T. delivery systems.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
