Summary:
Management Business Solutions is seeking a contract Transportation Manager for a manufacturing client to implement and maintain policies, procedures, processes, and systems that enable transportation of components and finished products throughout North America.
Responsibilities:
Provide daily operational support for transportation specialists (load coverage, research, analysis, data collection, etc.)
Support best-in-class service levels to customers
Develop and maintain relationships with transportation partners
Develop processes and negotiate agreements with service providers to provide required levels of customer service at appropriate costs
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field required
2 years of experience in domestic transportation operations required
Demonstrated knowledge of transportation systems and technologies required
Ability to solve complex problems with original and independent thinking; strong written and verbal communication skills required
Strong working knowledge of PC-based spreadsheet and word processing software programs (i.e. Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word) required
