TITLE OF POSITION: Network Engineer
LOCATION: Holland, MI

Summary:
Management Business Solutions (MBS) is seeking a contract Network Engineer for a manufacturing client in Holland. This individual will provide network and telecommunications support to the organization. This is a first shift role with a 24x7 on call rotation.
Responsibilities:
Provides systems software planning, design, configuring, and support for complex operating systems or sub-systems
Establishes methods and procedures for use in planning, configuring, and supporting system software
Participates in system software planning (long- and short-term), design, configuration, and support of systems software, complex operating systems, or sub-systems to ensure optimal performance
Identifies errors and works with suppliers to correct errors and resolve problems for minimum disruption to continuous service
Analyzes specific components of system utilization and maximizes utilization through enforcement of usage policy
Serves as liaison between computer users and representatives of operating system or other system software suppliers to ensure accurate and timely communication.
Provide design and/or troubleshooting assistance to other personnel in department to ensure effective solution delivery in timely manner
Participates in design and delivery of high quality systems and enhancements to encompass user requests and meet overall business requirements within processes and standards of the Companies Information Services (IS) department
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in an information technology discipline or related field required
5 years of computer systems engineering experience with demonstrated competence in systems programming required
Familiarity with multi-platforms in a global environment
Experience with one or more of the following: Storage Management, including, but not limited to Storage Area Networks (SAN); Database (Structured Query Language SQL , DB2, Oracle); Network and Telecom (Cisco, Phone PBX, Volp); Client (Windows, application integration and architecture); Server Build; Storage Management; and/or Operating Systems (OS) (UNIX, Windows, ZOS, back-up recovery) applications
Ability to participate in a 24x7 on call rotation
Ability to occasionally travel overnight away from corporate offices
