Rhoades McKee is seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Holland team! The primary focus of this position is to assist our attorneys in their transactional processes with administrative tasks and provide our clients with exceptional service.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurate and up-to-date.
Communicate with clients, including conducting client intake and follow ups.
Prepare documents and forms by completing initial drafts and processing edits.
Draft and review legal correspondence including thoroughly proofreading for errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.
Prepares, issues and handles tracking and disposition of subpoenas or other requests for information.
Assisting with trial preparation by organizing exhibits and performing other tasks.
Track case status for events scheduled in assigned cases.
Communicate with clients regarding the status of their case and to send and receive documents.
Prepare real estate closing and transfer documents.
Drafting of deeds, agreements, easements, loan documents, legal descriptions, and other real estate documents.
Coordinate with buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders in processing real estate title transactions.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail.
Time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, work with sensitive information and always adhere to ethical standards.
Familiar with State and Federal court filings, including submission of electronic filings.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
