Help Desk Tier 1 Specialist Description:
The Help Desk Tier I Specialist provides technical hardware and software support to OAISD staff and students.
Support is also provided to the staff and students of the six member districts of the Ottawa Area Information Technology Consortium (OAITC).
Support is provided through the use of the technology support ticket system, phone calls, emails, and remote support/screen-sharing tools.
The Help Desk Tier I Specialist role ensures all reports of technical issues are clearly understood, communicated, and addressed at the Help Desk, or triaged and escalated to the appropriate teams and resources to ensure issues are completely resolved.
The primary goal of this position is to minimize disruption to classroom instruction and help ensure a friendly and functional learning environment.
The Help Desk Tier I Specialist reports to the Associate Chief Technology Officer and works collaboratively with the Network Operations team, Enterprise Data Systems team, Application Development team, Client Support Services team (including District Lead Technicians and Field Technicians) to ensure client needs are met.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
2 years of relevant experience (or less) in customer service, enterprise support, or education technology support or a relevant associate's degree or relevant technical certifications (CompTIA A
and ComptTIA ITF+) is preferred.
Knowledge of and experience with enterprise and/or K12 educational software and hardware is preferred.
Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11, MacOS, iPadOS, ChromeOS is desired.
Basic networking, basic scripting, and MDM experience is desired.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
Strong communication, collaboration, and team-building skills are required.
Valid Driver's License is required.
Position Type & Schedule:
