is seeking an individual with high energy to join our team as a Maintenance Technician for Waverly Meadows and McIntosh Manor, two senior apartment communities in Holland, MI.
We are looking for someone with great communication skills, the ability to provide excellent customer service to our residents, having superior maintenance knowledge and skills, along with strong detail and organizational abilities.
EEO SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION Full time non-exempt - 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday 8:
00am-5:
00pm, required after hours & weekend emergency maintenance on-call rotation.
Flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays Assist in all maintenance aspects of maintaining an apartment community.
Knowledge and ability to turn over (empty, clean, paint, and make ready to Owner standard) apartments for re-lease.
Maintain the building interior and exterior in all aspects making sure our residents have a safe, well maintained, clean and caring place in which to live.

Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the maintenance department and company as a whole At all times be respectful to our customer, families, visitors and team members Ensure property is always shown in its best by keeping the property clean, neat and presentable from street curb to front door and inside to outside Perform turnover of apartments including cleaning, painting, carpet shampooing, and other repairs as required and directed by Supervisor promptly Perform all maintenance and repair operations at the site including responding to service work orders within 24 hours Inspect and perform on-going preventative maintenance throughout the apartment community, including apartments and staff equipment Performs regular property, building and apartment inspections Property winterization and spring start-up of equipment Grounds work as required - weeding, snow removal, de-icing, removing trash and other lawn care and landscaping duties Ensure that all equipment is in complete working order at all times Respond professionally and diligently to any resident/employee accidents or incidents in emergency situations The above does not include all duties to be performed by the employee.

QUALIFICATIONS Must have valid driver license Must live within 30 minutes from the apartment community (due to on-call requirement) Must be able to read and write.
Must be able to stand or move for majority of work schedule Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on a frequent basis Must be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat & snow) Think quickly and problem-solve with sound judgment.
