3 Quick Apply Full-time 8 hours ago Full Job Description 2nd Shift Quality Technician Position Summary The quality technician will be involved in post-cleaning line inspection, performing line clearance verifications, conduct ATP, allergen and micro swabbing.
This role also has responsibility for production line set-up of x-ray, metal detectors and check weighers.
This role will participate in micro testing of finished product and collecting environmental swabs.
The technician will also be responsible for coaching other employees to assure compliance with food safety and GMP standards.
2nd Shift Quality Technician Duties and Responsibilities Participate in production Pre-Operational Setup procedures:
post-cleaning visual inspection followed by verification swabbing.
Verify line clearances have been completed to standard.
Perform line set up and periodic line checks to verify x-ray, metal detection, checkweighers are working as intended.
Verify accuracy and status of ingredients and packaging used on the line.
Review food safety/quality related documents to ensure they are complete and accurate.
Perform testing of raw milk in accordance with state regulations.
Sample and test raw materials and finished product including microbiological testing.
Perform environmental swabbing in various locations throughout the facility.
Assist in facility audits (GMP, Glass/Brittle Plastic, Sanitation).
Work in partnership with all departments to help maintain high quality product.
Ensure compliance to quality, food safety and GMP standards.
Data entry and analysis.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Safety & Quality Manager.
2nd Shift Quality Technician Qualifications High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) HACCP Certification Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment Must be detail oriented and possess intermediate math and reasoning skills.
Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Must possess the ability to effectively apply mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills.
Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Willing and able to work overtime.
Prior experience in a related field.
